As a child, some of Kira's earliest memories were of makeup. Playing in it and visiting the counters of Bobbi Brown and MAC cosmetics with her mother. Her mother, an actress, was always the epitome of feminine glamour in her eyes. She reminded her of a modern day Dorthy Dandridge and her makeup bag was full of creamy concoctions, pretty powders, and all sorts of fascinating products that would transform her into a femme fatale. These mysterious makeup products intrigued her, and eventually she could no longer resist their siren call. She dove right in and played with the numerous eyeshadows, blushes, and lipsticks as she could get her tiny fingers on. Born in Colombus, Ohio and raised in Fairfield, Alabama, Kira was accustomed to small town life but yearned for more. It wasn't until she attended College at the University of Alabama at Birmingham that she uncovered her passion for makeup artistry. She started doing her friends' makeup and went on to doing makeup for her school's fashion show. It had never been clearer, this is what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. She eventually left school to pursue her dream of becoming a professional makeup artist. Kira is now living that dream freelancing in the Atlanta, Ga area and has worked with several companies including Revlon, her work can also be seen on networks such as WEtv, Centric, and on MTV jams, and with countless celebrities such as Regina Belle, Donnie Simpson, Andrea Kelly, Terri Vaughn, supermodel Jessica White, Jermaine Dupree, Nicole 'Hoopz' Alexander, Mushiya Tshikuka (Cutting it in the ATL), and actress AJ Johnson.
